IAIS-FSI-A2ii-AITRI virtual seminar on cyber security and data protection in the insurance sector - Asia
Digital transformation has changed the way in which insurers operate and deliver value to customers and as the drive towards it continues to gather momentum it has become increasingly important to consider and understand the risks associated with it. Cyber risk is widely recognised as one of the top threats of digital transformation and as the risk grows, so too have efforts to address it.
Closely connected to data security are the risks to data privacy. As data is becoming more valuable the threat to data privacy has increased exponentially. Breaches of data privacy cause significant harm to customers and companies and negatively impact on the reputation of companies.
The virtual seminar will explore the topics of cyber security and data protection in the insurance sector and will consist of a combination of online study as well as attendance of the following two live webinars:
25 September 2020 10:00 – 11:00 CEST

- Cyber resilience as a key element of IT security strategy

The seminar is hosted by the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), the Financial Stability Institute, the Access to Insurance Initiative (A2ii) and the ASEAN Insurance Training and Research Institute (AITRI).
